At United Dental Clinic, we pride ourselves on our commitment to having the most up-to-date technology to help us provide you with the very best possible care.
Our fully digital clinic is both a joy for our team to work in, and a real advantage for our patients, as we are able to expedite your diagnosis and treatment, and back up all of our findings with highly detailed and accurate data provided by our technology. It’s a win-win!
Let’s take a look at some of the technology we use, and how it advantages both you and us.
In-house OPG/ Lat Ceph and CBCT Facility
In layman’s terms, this basically means that we have 3D scanning technology to help use guide your treatment. We also won’t need to send you elsewhere for x-rays as all of this can be completed quickly and easily right here in our practice.
At United Dental Clinic, we use the Care Stream 8100 CS, which is the world’s fastest cephalometric scanner; it can complete a highly detailed scan in as little as three seconds! Because this machine scans in 3D instead of 2D, we can get a far better view of what is going on under the surface, and make highly accurate diagnoses very quickly. This then means it’s less likely we’ll need to send you on to another specialist for diagnosis.
It is particularly useful for us to plan our restorative treatments, such as placing dental implants, and crowns and bridges. Best of all, thanks to the design of this very compact scanner, patients face outwards and won’t be left feeling at all claustrophobic whilst they are undergoing the scan.
3Shape Trios Intraoral Digital Scanners
This amazing little piece of dental technology allows us to quickly and very easily take highly accurate, real-colour impressions of your teeth and mouth. Not only is its compact size very comfortable for you whilst the scans are being taken, but it also shortens the amount of time you’ll need to spend in the dental chair, which also means more comfort for you!
Once your highly detailed scans have been taken, we can very quickly import the scans into our software where we can view your scans and plan your treatment in great detail. From crowns and bridges to veneers, dentures, dental implants, and clear orthodontic aligners, this amazing piece of technology will help us to get your treatment underway quickly and smoothly.
